Rates and Services

My pricing for miniatures covers a good deal of ranges, from the tabletop miniature to the cream of the crop when it comes to commission painting. Here are the rates; please refer to the reference pictures below to see what the painting qualities look like.

(Please note, I *highly* recommend that you have me assemble your models for you; you will have models built as well as they are painted and I’ll assemble them for $5 per model, $10 for monstrous creature, and $20 per vehicle)

Miniature Quality:

  • Tabletop: Primed, at least four colours with one stage of highlighting and shading along with eyes: $10
  • Champion: Hand-painted undercoat, painted with two stages of highlighting and shading along with maximum of one NMM or Gem: $25
  • Display: Hand-painted undercoat, all painted with three stages of highlighting and shading (depending on miniature) along with uses of glazing, feathering and glow (optional and upon request). Comes with (also upon request) up to two choices of NMM or Gem: $75
  • Ultimate: Hand-painted undercoat, all painted with maximum number of highlights and shading steps possible. Upon request will include any and all of the following (where applicable): glazing, NMM, Gem, feathering, weathering, glow, extreme-edge highlighting: $125

Miniature Size:

Standard 1” base: no extra

Terminator-sized base: +25%

Bike/Cavalry base: +25%

Monstrous Creature base: + 100%

Vehicles and Walkers:

  • Tabletop: I charge as much as Games Workshop charges on their website to for the vehicle itself, so a Space Marine Rhino, painted tabletop quality, would cost as much as Games Workshop sells the Space Marine Rhino for on their site
  • Champion: This price would be double the price listed above
  • Display: This price would be quadruple the price of tabletop
  • Ultimate: This price would be eight times the price of tabletop. Mind you, look at the examples of Ultimate Quality in the above pictures. Each of those models took me about 12-20 hours to complete. Transfer that quality to something of a vehicle’s size and the price is makes sense.

Basing:

Standard (two items i.e. flock and sand): no charge

Superior (two or three items as well as basing details and possible height differentiations): +$5

Ultima (spares no expense in basing embellishment): +$15

Vehicles:

Tabletop Quality: I charge the same price to paint a tabletop vehicle or walker as Games Workshop charges for the purchase of that vehicle or walker. For example, after the 2010 GW price increase, a Space Marine Land Raider painted tabletop quality will cost $62

Champion Quality: This price would be double the price listed above. For example, the same Space Marine Raider painted at display quality would cost $124

Display Quality: This price would be quadruple the price of tabletop. For example, the same Space Marine Raider painted at display quality would cost $248

Ultimate Quality: This price would be eight times the price of tabletop. For example, the same Space Marine Raider painted at display quality would cost $496. Mind you, look at the examples of Ultimate Quality in the above pictures. Each of those models took me about 12-20 hours to complete. Transfer that quality to something Land Raider sized and the price is pretty reasonable.
